Who We Are

Mark Huff

Owner

Mark Huff's journey in construction began right after high school, when he dove into carpentry to build his foundation. Through the Carpenters Union and a dedicated apprenticeship, he honed his skills and transitioned to managing large-scale commercial projects as a journeyman carpenter.

When he made the move to San Francisco and earned his contractor's license, Mark took a leap and founded Huff Construction. What started as a one-person operation has grown into a thriving business with multiple crews, known for its quality work in residential and commercial projects across the Bay Area.

Today, Mark's passion lies in expanding his business while never losing sight of what matters most—his family. Weekends find him escaping to the beach with his wife, Gena, and their children, Tyler and Ella. Balancing the demands of his career with cherished family time, Mark embodies a genuine commitment to both his work and his loved ones in the vibrant world of San Francisco construction.

Damian Zamora

Field Construction Manager

For the past eight years, he have been working as a carpenter for General Contractors, focusing on high-quality carpentry and waterproofing. Before diving into the professional scene, he has spent a considerable amount of time working on personal building projects, which helped him refine his skills. He also obtained a Carpentry Certificate from CCSF to further enhance his expertise.

Whether it’s crafting intricate wood designs, putting the finishing touches on a project, or ensuring that everything stays watertight, he is dedicated to delivering top-notch workmanship. His success stems from a combination of hands-on experience, a genuine passion for the craft, and specialized knowledge in waterproofing techniques. He has thrived in collaborative environments, where attention to detail is paramount, ensuring that each project meets and exceeds expectations.

Mike Young

Project Manager

Mike took a non-traditional route into construction by moving from a career as an illustrator and designer into carpentry, eventually focusing on project management. This journey has helped with both the big picture and detail work. Combining his artistic sensibilities with practical construction expertise, Mike approaches projects with a balance of creativity and meticulousness.

His years outside the industry have also allowed him to take a bit of an outsider’s view on the work we do and see things from a client’s perspective. He knows how disruptive a remodel can be to a person’s life and strives to make the process as painless as possible for our clients.

When he’s not pouring over construction plans, or furiously emailing and texting subcontractors, you can find Mike extolling the virtues of adopting too many dogs and cats. If you’ve got some time on your hands, feel free to ask him about it.
